EPA Grants Gro-Pro LLC Three Product Registrations
February 24, 2005
(INVERNESS, Fla.)
EPA has granted Gro-Pro LLC federal registrations for Cypermethrin G-Pro Termiticide/Insecticide, Propiconazole G-Pro Fungicide and Permethrin G-Pro Insecticide.
Cypermethrin G-Pro
Cypermethrin G-Pro delivers contact and residual control of termites and other general household insect pests. It can be used pre- and post-construction, both indoors and outdoors in residential and commercial structures. Cypermethrin is also the active ingredient used in Prevail® by FMC Corporation and Demon® by Syngenta Professional Products.
With the EPA’s planned phase-out of chlorpyrifos (Dursban®) for preconstruction termiticide uses, your customers are looking for a viable, affordable product to fill that need. Cypermethrin G-Pro serves as an excellent alternative to chlorpyrifos (Dursban®) for preconstruction termiticide applications. Plus, Cypermethrin G-Pro is backed by the commitment of Gro-Pro to product quality and financially viable options.
Propiconazole G-Pro
Propiconazole G-Pro offers broad-spectrum control of diseases in turf and ornamentals. Its systemic activity gives effective control at low use rates. Propiconazole is the active ingredient in BannerMAXX® fungicide.
Permethrin G-Pro
Permethrin G-Pro, controls termites and a wide range of other insect pests. It offers contact control and long-lasting residual control. Permethrin is the active ingredient in Dragnet® and Astro® insecticides.
With these three new products, Gro-Pro has also develop a consistency among the names and look of products in the portfolio. Gro-Pro products are named with the active ingredient name, followed by “G-Pro,” to designate them as Gro-Pro products for the professional, non-crop markets.
Labels and package design also reflect this format. Each chemical classification is identifiable by the individual color of the “G-Pro blades” from the Gro-Pro logo.

Other products currently offered by Gro-Pro, such as chlorpyrifos, and sethoxydim, will also transition to the G-Pro standard by mid 2005.
The goal in developing this new image was to help customers easily identify products and the chemical classification at a glance. When customers see the Gro-Pro logo, or the familiar G-Pro blades on a package or label, they can have confidence that the product represents a high-quality, economical alternative to branded options, and that Gro-Pro stands behind it.
Gro-Pro LLC focuses exclusively on the non-crop, specialty markets. The company offers multiple products for turf and ornamental, pest control and vegetation management and forestry.
