Etigra Adds Leading Bactericides to Portfolio

Etigra LLC and AgroSource, Inc. announced today that Etigra will market AgroSource’s bactericides Firewall™ and Fireline™.

Firewall controls bacterial diseases including fire blight, bacterial spot and blight in orchard and vegetable crops such as pears, apples, peaches, nectarines, celery, peppers and tomatoes. The active ingredient in Firewall is streptomycin sulfate, the same active ingredient used in Agri-Mycin® from Nufarm.

Pome and stone fruit growers have come to rely on Fireline, marketed by Cerexagri as FlameOut™, for powerful control of bacteria, especially those that are resistant to streptomycin. In addition, oxytetracycline hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Fireline, has shown less caking and better dispersion and mixing characteristics than oxytetracycline calcium, the active ingredient in Mycoshield®. These differences can mean easier handling, mixing and spraying.

Together, the products give growers a complete program for bacterial disease control and offer an excellent resistance management strategy when used in rotation.
